Description

William II (Rufus) ruled England from 26 September 1087 till 2 August 1100
Third son of William the conquerer he continued his family’s time on the English throne repulsing several Scottish invasions.
Due to unusual circumstances, he was killed after being hit by an arrow while out hunting. A simple accident? Or a deadly murder?
A stone placed in New Forest England marks the place upon where he was killed.

This replica of his seal shows William seated on his throne with a sword in one hand and a globus cruciger in the other, also known as “the orb and cross”.
The seal is around 8.5 cm in diameter.
Our replica is taken from a cast of the original.
When it’s in your hand you really are touching history.
