Very little is known about the Viking-era style of the helmet as very few have survived the ravages of time.
Our viking helmet is based upon a rare archaeological find in scandanavia.
It became known as the “Gjermundbu Helmet”
The helmet is made from  18 gauge steel with crossed reinforcing straps (spangs) and has been antiqued finished .
It has been etched finish with an interlacing pattern and other “Norse style” designs.
It Includes adjustable leather liner and chinstrap enabling the helmet to be comfortably worn.
Sizewise it has an inner circumferance of 60cm, so will fit all but the biggest head.
If your not sure about sizes, you can mesure your own head by wrapping a piece of string around it and then mesuring the string!
As the helmet is created from steel it comes with an oil based preservative coating.
