Inspired by the Isle of Lewis chess pieces.
The History Bonkers team decided to create a chess piece that never existed, but should have!
This is Thor sitting with his hammer, based on a small figure discovered in the Akueyi area of Iceland.
It’s known as the Eyrarland Statue and may have originally been used as a playing piece in the popular board game of Hnefatafl.
Made to be more of an ornament rather than an actual playing piece.
Hand-made item. Resin cast then hand finished. Matt finish.
Around 8cm tall or a little over 3.3″.
All items are shipped within 12/24 hrs.
Where possible we use recycled packaging.
